Retreat info

This is NOT a standard meditation retreat. You complete back-to-back weekend intensives, and meditate 3 hours/day throughout the week.

Online retreats are an excellent opportunity to cultivate a meditation practice from the comfort of your own home. Once you sign up, you will receive detailed instructions on how to set up your meditation environment to minimize distractions.

What's included:

  • Two full weekends of live retreat (Friday–Sunday, 9 AM – 6 PM PT)
  • Workweek practice: 1.5 hours before work, 1.5 hours after
  • Same curriculum as the full-time retreat: lectures, group sits, 1:1 interviews, and office hours
  • All live Zoom calls recorded and immediately uploaded
  • Post-retreat Circle alumni community access

Friday – Sunday, July 31 – August 2: Instruction in the morning and evening, live group sessions, 1:1 meetings with facilitators, and self-determined meditation schedule. Closing session Sunday August 2 at 6 PM PDT (around 7 PM CEST for EU). Maintain an environment of contemplation.

Setting up your home environment

Ensure you have a private space where you can meditate for the duration of the retreat (like a private room where you will not be disturbed).

Warn anyone you live with that you will be fully dedicated to meditation during the two Friday-Sunday blocks.

You can find more information about the schedule across time zones in our blog post: Planning Your Jhourney: Online Retreat Schedules Across Time Zones.

Before you book

You must be at least 18 years old to attend.

For everyone's safety, participation requires completing a mental health screening and signing required agreements.

Please hold off on making any major travel or schedule commitments until your retreat screening is complete and your spot is officially confirmed.

You can join from most time zones in the US and Europe. If you're in Europe, you will have a fully-adjusted schedule with organized watch-parties to watch recordings of sessions that happened in the US time zone — you will receive the exact same content and time with facilitators. Participants in Asian time zones may find the schedule challenging due to time differences; we don't typically recommend joining from these regions as it may impact your retreat experience.

This retreat requires you to take both Fridays off work (July 24 and July 31) in addition to the two weekends. Across all six days (July 24–26 and July 31–Aug 2), you'll be expected to meditate and engage with the curriculum full-time and should plan to be mostly offline. Trying to keep up with work or other life commitments during these six days will substantially diminish the program's effectiveness — if you can't fully clear the time, we recommend joining at a later date.
